Sofi Fermazi is the newest and freshest face to enter the local music scene in the Philippines. A 17-year-old professional singer and actress from Las Piñas, has a large number of popular cover songs on her YouTube account, earning her the title “Darling of Cover Songs” by some showbiz writers. These include songs of prominent international and local artists like Ed Sheraan, Cristina Perry, Coldsplay, Adele, Justine Bieber, Moira Dela Torre, Ben and Ben, Zack Tabudlo, Kitchie Nadal, Yeng Constantino, and more. Sarah Geronimo, on the other hand, is Sofi’s ultimate idol.
Sofi’s charm is irresistible; she reminds me of Lisa Manobal, a Thai rapper, singer, and dancer based in South Korea—a member of the South Korean girl group Blackpink, which is managed by YG Entertainment.

In one of her previous interviews, she mentioned Donny Pangilinan as the top actor with whom she would like to work. After that, haters started hurling comments at her, but the young singer actress saw it as constructive criticism that would help her improve.
So, how did Sofi react to the bashers and their negative comments? With a sweet smile on her face, Sofi stated, “No reaction po talaga! I admire what Donny does with his work and how he helps people, and we can admire people in that way, po diba? ” Donny Pangilinan is a 22-year-old actor, host, singer, and social media influencer, who is most known for his roles in the films Walwal (2018), James & Pat & Dave (2020), and He’s Into Her (2021).
When Sofi was a kid, before she did various workshops to hone her singing talent, she had the privilege to be a protégé of OPM icon Ms. Ima Castro, who received the 2021 Outstanding Filipino Luminary Awards for culture and the arts, for representing the Philippines all over the world with her art.
Sofi will also participate in “Fun Nights Only,” a Kumu entertainment show which will be streamed online every Saturday night. She will be launching her album soon entitled “Rain Inside Us,” to be released by Star Music. She will work with other ABS-CBN artists on three tracks included in the album.
Recently, the young lady did a solo performance at the 2022 Asia-Pacific Luminare Awards (celebrity awardees), held at Okada Manila. During the presidential campaign, Sofi sang a Tagalog version of Bonnie Tyler’s “Hero,” a campaign song for Manila Mayor Isko Moreno that went viral online.
