This was according to Mark Shandii Bacolod, producer of the historical drama “Culion,” during the media launch of the film’s trailer on Monday.

“Lahat ng artista at staff nandoon lang. Gumising sila ng maaga para manood ng shoot,” Bacolod added. “Makikita mo umiiyak ang executive producers. Umiiyak kami, ako. Tapos after ng bonding namin sa Culion, John Lloyd came to me and said “thank you.’”

Cruz is having a special participation in the movie by Alvin Yapan. He was seen in the last part of the teaser of the historical drama written by Ricky Lee. He had been away from show biz for over two years.
“Culion” is a story of hope seeking to be heard. The advocacy is to break the stigma associated with leprosy.
Lead actors are Iza Calzado, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Meryll Soriano, Joem Bascon and Mike Liwag. It is under iOptions Ventures.
