Mike Liwag at Nico Locco, may rivalry sa puso ni Jasmine Curtis-Smith?

“Ay hindi hati! Talagang akin si Jasmine,” declared actor Mike Liwag of his “Culion” leading lady, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, during an intimate dinner on October 11 at Novotel, Araneta Center.

“Sobrang happy ako to work with her, sobrang galing n’yang artista. Alam n’ya ang ginagawa n’ya at saka ‘yong process sa acting parang same kami. Kung paano namin tanggalin ang inhibitions at paano kami mag-internalize parang feeling ko the same,” Mike added. He is playing Jaime, the love interest of Jasmine’s character, Doris.

Mike is an actor known for the 2016 Cinemalaya film “Hiblang Ano,” as well as indie movies like “Ang Araw Sa Likod Mo” and “Bar Boys. ” He is also part of the 2019 iWant original movie “Apple of My Eye” and the stage play titled “Laro.”

“Me and Mike never had a scene sa ‘Culion’ but our roles are directly connected to Jasmine,” explained costar Nicholas Timothy Fowler. “Actually most of my scenes are with Jasmine and I feel swerte ako to work with her kasi she is really pleasant to work with on set, at sobrang professional.”

Nicholas, also known as Nico Locco, is an Italian-Canadian model and aspiring actor. His name is associated with the controversy involving actress Arianne Bautista, his ex-girlfriend, who accused him of cheating in her social media posts.

“Culion” is written by the award-winning scriptwriter Ricky Lee, directed by Alvin Yapan and produced by Shandii Bacolod under iOption ventures. It also features Iza Calzado, Joem Bascon and Meryll Soriano.

The cast and team of ‘Culion” is vying for its inclusion at the 2019 Metro Manila Film Festival in December (Report by Daisy Liezel Cuison).
