Love and Bitterness in iWant series ‘Ampalaya Chronicles’

“Minsan kailangan mo maramdaman ang pait bago mo ma-appreciate ang tamis”  said  Mark Ghosn a Lebanese-Filipino playwright, monologist and spoken word artist best known for creating the hit show “Ampalaya Monologues” last January 23 media conference of iWant series “Ampalaya Chronicles” held in Quezon City. 
 
iWant brings bitter an relatable love stories in it’s original “Hugot anthology series “Ampalaya Chronicles” starring Khalil Ramos and Elisse Joson in the pilot episode that tackles one-sided love.
 
The pilot episode titled “Adik” revolves around shy yet romantic poet Carlo (Khalil Ramos) who only wishes to get close to his longtime crush Nina (Elisse Joson). He luckily gets his chance when nina appears on his doorstep, hoping to get him to help her write and perform  poems for her talent portion an upcoming beauty contest. 
 
“Adik” is based on the piece with the same title by the spoke word artist Carlo Hornilla, Directed by Real Florido, written by Florence Henzon,  Produced by Firestarters Production. ( Report by Daisy Liezel Cuison )
