The 2022 Philippine presidential and vice presidential elections will take place on May 9, 2022, as part of the country’s general election. Senate President Tito Sotto has stated his intention to run for Vice President in 2022 if Senator Ping Lacson stands as his running mate.

In a conversation with Karen Davila, Senator Sotto was asked who he would be more willing to be his running mate, Karen mentioned the names of Senator Manny Pacquiao, Mayor Sarah Duterte, and Mayor Isko Moreno. Tito Sen has indicated unequivocally that if he runs for Vice President, he wants to work with Senator Ping Lacson.
“First of all, I’m still considering it… and if I do consider it, the number one on my list would be Senator Lacson. I know his capability. I know what he can do for the country. He added , “If he runs for president, I will support him!”
Ping and Tito’s team seemed to be enthralling a large number of individuals. Some showbiz insiders are optimistic about Lacson’s chances of running for President.

Senator Lacson’s eldest son, Panfilo Lacson Jr. known as Pampi was asked about his reaction and thoughts on Tito Sen’s statement in a possible tandem between his father in the next presidential race. Pampi appears mum about his father’s candidacy.
