KAIXAARON, Los Angeles-based Filipino duo, releases a new single  “DREAMIN’.”

In the song “Dreamin’,” published under Tarsier Records, the KaixAaron Los Angeles-based Filipino duo harkens back to the good old days of slow dancing at a school prom.

Late-night thoughts of someone attempting to sleep inspired the slow R&B ballad with a nostalgic vibe. The songs were written by KaixAaron, a group made up of teen musicians Kai Caden Lopez and Aaron Christian Adona.

“The story is going through a phase of having this one person in mind and trying to live a hopeless fantasy with her in your dreams even though it does not correlate with the harsh reality,” Kai explained.

The hip-hop and R&B duo’s sophomore album, “Dreamin’,” follows “Adore U,” which was released earlier this year.

Only during the pandemic did the two start working together. Individually and collectively, their music is largely influenced by LA culture, with a bit of Filipino culture thrown in the mix.

Kai has been a jazz saxophonist for seven years, and his most popular tune, “LYSM,” has had over 20,000 streams. Aaron, on the other hand, has been making hip-hop and R&B music since 2017.

Slow-dance to KaixAaron’s “Dreamin,’” out now on music streaming services worldwide. For updates, follow Tarsier Records on various social media accounts @tarsierrecords.
