IN PRODUCTION : CELINE DION DEFINITIVE FEATURE DOCUMENTARY FROM DIRECTOR IRENE TAYLOR 

The Premium Content Division of Sony Music Entertainment (SME), in collaboration with SME Canada and Vermilion Films, has announced the commencement of production on an untitled feature-length documentary about Celine Dion. The documentary, directed by Oscar® nominee Irene Taylor, will serve as the definitive feature for one of pop music’s most instantly recognizable, universally respected, and successful musicians. The film will celebrate Dion’s extraordinary life narrative and professional triumphs, including landmark album releases, award accolades, world tours, and Las Vegas residencies, and will be made with her full participation and support.

The documentary, directed by respected American filmmaker Irene Taylor, will dig deeply into Dion’s unique life story. Taylor’s most recent film, Moonlight Sonata: Deafness in Three Movements, was nominated for an Emmy®. Her first feature film, Hear and Now, won a Peabody Award and the Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival. Her short film, One Last Hug, received a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Children’s Program, as well as an Academy Award® nomination for The Final Inch, which also received many Emmy nominations and the Pare Lorentz Award from the International Documentary Association.

She remains a force in the business, setting new standards of excellence with chart-topping hits including “Ashes” (Deadpool 2), “My Heart Will Go On” (Titanic), and “Beauty and the Beast” (Beauty and the Beast).
