“Bad-Tempered” Grandma, Angie Ferro scares Yves and Royce in “Lola Igna”

“At first nakakatakot kasi sinusungitan n’ya kami, pero cool at mabait s’ya!” says Yves Flores on working with Lola Igna Angie Ferro Last night 2019 Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino “Gabi ng Parangal, Pagkilala, Pasasalamat” held at One Esplanade, Pasay City. 

 

Angie Ferro for the lead role of the feisty grandmother in his latest movie “Lola Igna”  A 118-year-old grumpy grandmother that gets instant celebrity status when people start to recognize her for being the countries oldest living grandmother.

Yves Flores and Royce Cabrera, played as the two great-great grandsons in the movie.
Yves was known as Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition housemate. He is part of the movie “Just The Way You Are”  “Walang Forever” “Bloody Crayons”  and the upcoming movie under Star Cinema “Block Z”.
 
While, Royce first film was “Baklad” a TOFARM Film Festival 2017 finalist,  He was also the lead actor in the recent Cinemalaya ultra daring and sensitive film “F#*@Bois” 
 
Royce shares a life lessons every millennial can pick up in this movie, “Bigyan ng halaga ang matatanda, Ang mga lola’t lolo at magulang natin at mga taong nagalaga satin bilang pagbawi, Sana kahit konting oras man lang bigay natin sa kanila”
 
“Lola Igna” took home the bulk trophies for 2019 Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino Best Picture, Best Musical score (Andrew Florentino), Best Screenplay (Eduardo Roy Jr. & Margarette Labrador) and Best Actress for “Lola Igna” (Angie Ferro)
Directed by Eduardo Roy Jr. known in the Cinemalaya’s  Best Film “Pamilya Ordinaryo” and 2019  Cinemalaya’s  Best Director awardee in the film “F#*@Bois”
