“Nakakailang sa umpisa. This is the first time I’m working with two gorgeous men, totally naked in front of me. Hindi naman kami sanay na gano’n,” said actor Ricky Davao shortly after he won the best supporting actor award for his performance in the suspense drama “F#*@Bois” at the recently concluded 2019 Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival awards show.
Ricky was referring to his two young costars in the film–Royce Cabrera and Kokoy de Santos. This is Ricky’s first award in Cinemalaya’s 15-year history.
He plays a closeted town mayor who tries to blackmail two male bikini pageant contestants with a video scandal. The movie was popularized with Ricky’s catch phrases, like “come to Mommy, boys!” and “Party! Party! Party!”
The film is directed by Eduardo Roy Jr., who also won the best director award from Cinemalaya. (Report by Daisy Liezel Cuison)
